Through our Turkish Arts and Anthems program at MKA Turkish School, we introduce our children growing up in the United States to our rich cultural heritage through music and art. Leveraging the unifying and universal power of art, we aim to strengthen our students' connection to their roots while enhancing their aesthetic sensibilities.
In our classes, we learn and perform inspiring patriotic anthems that instill a deep sense of national unity and pride—often accompanied by the Atatürk Children's Choir and Orchestra. Alongside musical instruction, we foster our students' creativity and fine motor skills through traditional Turkish handicrafts, folk culture, and visual arts projects.
Our students actively participate in national holiday celebrations, special ceremonies, and stage performances, gaining immense self-confidence by sharing the anthems they learn and the artwork they create. Inspired by the words of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, "A nation devoid of art has had one of its vital veins severed," our objective is to nurture art-loving generations who will keep our culture and values alive.
