Code of Conduct & Discipline Policy

1. Expected Student Behaviors

Students enrolled at MKA Turkish School are expected to adhere to the following standards of behavior at all times on campus and during school-sponsored activities:

• Demonstrate respect towards teachers, school staff, volunteers, and fellow students.
• Arrive on time for scheduled classes and bring necessary learning materials.
• Respect school property, facility equipment, and the personal belongings of others.
• Follow instructions given by teachers and administrators promptly and courteously.
• Use appropriate, respectful language; physical violence, verbal abuse, or coarse language will not be tolerated.

2. Anti-Bullying & Zero-Tolerance Harassment Policy

MKA Turkish School strictly prohibits any form of bullying, harassment, intimidation, cyberbullying, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or national origin.

Any act of physical aggression, threat, intentional exclusion, or verbal harassment will result in immediate administrative review and subject the offender to disciplinary sanctions up to expulsion.

3. Campus Safety & Prohibited Items

To ensure absolute campus safety, the following items and substances are strictly prohibited on school grounds:

• Tobacco products, e-cigarettes, vaping devices, alcohol, or illegal controlled substances.
• Weapons, firearms, knives, explosive materials, or hazardous objects of any kind.
• Unauthorized electronic devices or toys that distract from class instruction.

4. Parent & Visitor Conduct

Parents and legal guardians are vital partners in our educational community. Parents and visitors are expected to model respectful behavior on school premises. Aggressive behavior, disruptive language, or harassment directed at school staff, teachers, or students will result in restriction or prohibition from school grounds.

5. Disciplinary Procedures & Sanctions

In the event of code violations, MKA Turkish School applies a progressive discipline model, depending on the severity and frequency of the infraction:

1. Verbal Warning & Counseling: The teacher or staff member addresses minor infractions directly with the student.
2. Parental Notification & Written Reprimand: For repeated minor infractions or moderate policy violations, school administration will notify parents in writing and convene a parent-teacher conference.
3. Temporary Suspension: Serious misconduct, physical aggression, or defiance may lead to temporary suspension from classes without tuition reimbursement.
4. Expulsion / Dismissal: Extreme policy violations, safety threats, or failure to correct behavior following prior interventions will result in immediate expulsion from MKA Turkish School. Tuition will not be refunded.
